Hiroshi (ひろし ) is a third year student at Nekketsu High School first featured in Nekketsu Renegade Kunio-kun. He is an honor student who is often made into a target due to him being best friends with Kunio. Though he lacks the ability to fend for himself, he admires Kunio's strength and yearns to be a tough and righteous delinquent like him as he's always there to rescue him. Hiroshi has also participated in various sports alongside Kunio.

Nekketsu Renegade Kunio-kun[]
In the arcade version of the game, he is beaten by different gangs, each led by Riki, Shinji, Misuzu and Sabu before the start of each stage, prompting Kunio to avenge him. After defeating Sabu at the end of the game, Kunio comes out of the building only to see Hiroshi and the other students of Nekketsu High School cheering for him on his victory. Kunio and Hiroshi then shake hands. In the Famicom version, he is kidnapped by Sabu, and Kunio must rescue him.

Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun: Bangai Rantō Hen[]
When Yūji Munakata sees Mihoko, a student from Nekketsu High School, he falls in love at first sight with her and attempts to take her by force. Hiroshi intercepts him and takes Mihoko away from him, prompting Yūji to send his men after him. Mihoko gets away, but Yūji's cronies eventually catch up to Hiroshi and proceed to physically assault him. He is hospitalized from the beating and his recovery will take three months. Angered at his beating, Kunio proceeds to head to Munataka Industries with Riki tagging along and they take revenge by beating Yūji, then dragging him to the hospital to apologize to the still recovering Hiroshi.

Shodai Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun[]
In the beginning of the game, he was first harassed by thugs in the Osaka Union who mistaken him for Sakuramiya student due to his white uniform, only to be rescued by Kunio. He wants to meet with a friend named Miho for an important discussion which involves schools in Osaka being taken over by the Osaka State Union. He tries to help her along with Kunio to fight them. Later on, Kunio and Hiroshi were ambushed by Nakazaki and his gang when they heard about the Alliance they formed. Hiroshi tried to fight back, but was injured gravely as a result. During the game's ending, Hiroshi shows up with the rest of the Nekketsu High School students to see Kunio after his fight against Yoshihiro. Hiroshi mentions feeling bad for Yoshihiro and the way he turned out.
Shin Nekketsu Kōha: Kunio-tachi no Banka[]
Early in the game, Hiroshi has a discussion with Kunio and Riki about how the school has changed during their stint in prison. Later on, he meets the two after their prison break and runs along with them. When they evade the police, Hiroshi was told to stick around the outside of Nekketsu High School as a lookout in case something were to happen.
Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun Special[]
A reimagining of the original game, this version fleshes out the character of Hiroshi further and reveals the reason as to why the Sanwakai attack and kidnap him[1]. Hiroshi's father is a legislator who is against the construction of a casino.
River City: Tokyo Rumble[]
In the beginning of the story, Hiroshi is beaten up by Wataru and Sakata outside of Nekketsu High School, to where Kunio and Misako walk out of the school to witness this happening. Misako takes care of Hiroshi while Kunio sets off to find Wataru and Sakata. Kunio is told by the two that Riki was the one who called for Hiroshi to be beaten up, so before a fight started between Kunio and Riki, Hiroshi intervenes and tries to explain what actually happens but to no avail.
River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~[]
This remake of Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day! re-imagines the events of that game. The story takes place after River City: Rival Showdown.
Hiroshi warns Sugata that Reika and Onizuka are looking to have a practice match against them. Before the second round of the tournament, Hiroshi overhears the captains of the Sigma High School and Yurigaoka Girl's High School teams wanting to defeat Nekketsu High School in the competition as a way to impress Gōda, and then proceeds to warn the Nekketsu High School team about this. After Nekketsu wins the second round, Hiroshi congratulates the new freshman for their efforts and tells them that he plans on visiting Kunio in the hospital tomorrow. The new freshman asks if they can tag along, to which Hiroshi tells them to meet him at the park the next day. While walking in the park with the new freshman, Tōdō runs into the two and has Ryūichi and Ryūji start a fight, with Hiroshi running away to inform Kunio of the attack. Hiroshi later congratulates Kunio and the new freshman at the end of the game. During the game's hidden round, Hiroshi will read out the challenge letter to Kunio.
Hiroshi appears as an unlockable character and as a member of the Nekketsu Dodgeball Club team. His normal variant is able to be unlocked for use by winning a game as any Nekketsu High School member in free battle. Hiroshi is able to use the Super Dash and his dodgeball variant is able to use the Hoehoe Shot and the Burst Shot.
River City: Rival Showdown[]
River City: Rival Showdown is a remake of Downtown Nekketsu Story. The game takes place before River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~.
Hiroshi and Sugata came running at the sight of Kunio being attacked by Ryūichi and Ryūji late at night. Hiroshi informs Kunio of a rumor he's heard about a strong pair of brothers taking over schools in the area. The next day, Hiroshi digs into who Kunio's attackers were and finds out they're a twins who recently transferred to Reihō Academy, becoming the top delinquents of the school overnight. Hiroshi also informs Kunio about Riki being unable to get in touch with his girlfriend Mami and suspects something suspicious is going on.
On the second night, Hiroshi calls Kunio to drop a message from Kobayashi telling Kunio to meet him at Reihō Academy the next day and proceeds to tell Kunio what he knows about Kobayashi. If the player has previously fought Kamijō and Yamamoto on both occasions, Hiroshi will once again call Kunio to drop a message from the two to meet them in front of the Yumemi Spa for a showdown. Hiroshi will call Kunio on the final day to let him know that Hanazono High School knuckled under to Reihō Academy and that Mami has been kidnapped once again. Kunio asks Hiroshi to warn Sugata that Reihō may try to come and attack Nekketsu High School next.
River City Melee: Battle Royal Special[]
Hiroshi returns as a member of the Nekketsu Dodgeball Club team and is involved in the story mode. Hiroshi is able to use the Hoehoe Shot and the Explosion Shot.
River City Girls[]
After Kyoko and Misako get information from Godai that Yamada can be found inside the Mall, Hiroshi will appear near the entrance patiently waiting for the doors to get unlocked so he can get in and buy the latest issue of his favorite comic book, "Cosmic Mega Babes". Misako remembers Hiroshi from the time that she took his lunch money, but to him, it's all water under the bridge. Hiroshi then gives the girls details on how to open the door without breaking it, which is to take the keys from the security guard who has yet to wake up for work and currently is sleeping at home.
Upon gaining access to the mall, Hiroshi will be found reading the comic in the food court, quite disappointed that he wasn't able to get the special edition. He also hasn't seen Yamada around but surmises that he may be in the nearby construction site.
River City Melee Mach!![]
Hiroshi's moveset would be changed to instead use the Measure Shot and the Split Shot.
River City Saga: Three Kingdoms[]
Hiroshi plays the role of the Emperor.
The Emperor briefly appears in the Imperial Court during the Hot-Blooded ending of the final chapter where he watches Guan Yu (Kunio) go separate ways with Liu Bei (Goda) and Zhang Fei (Godai). The Emperor asks Guan Yu to stop by the Imperial Court sometime and to stay away from fighting so much.
River City Girls 2[]
Hiroshi appears outside of the arcade in Uptown where he was planning on setting the top highscores again in Ultra Dance You Light Up My Life Baby Remix VXX, but the Sanwakai have changed all the games in the arcade to only accept Yakuza Coins. Hiroshi recommends Misako, Kyoko, and the rest of the group to go look for their coin machines located across Uptown.
